Messaging

Twilio SMS marketing from your CRM.

GuardenerAI connects to your own Twilio account to send SMS and WhatsApp messages in campaigns and journeys, to segments built from your CRM, with consent and suppressions checked before every send.

Part of the Marketing module, which is switched on by default for new workspaces. An admin adds the sender under Marketing, Channels.

What it does

  • Sends SMS campaigns and journey messages through your Twilio account and number.
  • Can also send WhatsApp messages through Twilio.
  • Checks consent for the channel and topic, suppressions and your frequency policy before each message.
  • Credentials are tested before they are saved.

How to connect it

  1. Open Marketing, Channels and choose Add sender for SMS or WhatsApp.
  2. Pick Twilio and enter your Account SID, your sending number and your auth token.
  3. Test the sender, then choose it when you build a campaign or journey.

What it does not do

  • Your Twilio account, numbers and carrier registration are set up and managed in Twilio.
  • WhatsApp template creation and approval tracking work through a direct Meta connection, not through Twilio.
  • GuardenerAI does not make or record calls.

FAQ

Fair questions.

Do I need my own Twilio account?
Yes. Messages are sent from your account and your number, so you keep control of the sender and its history.
Is consent checked for SMS?
Yes. Every message passes the consent, suppression and frequency checks set for your workspace before it is handed to Twilio.
Can I send WhatsApp through Twilio?
Yes. Choose Twilio as the provider when you add a WhatsApp sender. To create templates and track Meta’s approval from GuardenerAI, connect WhatsApp through Meta directly.
