What it does

  • Sends WhatsApp campaigns and journey messages to segments of your CRM.
  • With a direct Meta connection, creates message templates in GuardenerAI and mirrors their approval status from Meta.
  • Starter template kits give you a first draft to adjust.
  • With Meta, delivered and read receipts come back to the message, and a STOP reply is honoured.
  • Consent for WhatsApp is checked before every message.

How to connect it

  1. Set up a WhatsApp Business Account with Meta, or a WhatsApp sender in Twilio.
  2. Open Marketing, Channels, choose Add sender for WhatsApp, and pick Meta or Twilio.
  3. For Meta, enter your WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID and a system-user access token with the WhatsApp messaging and management permissions.
  4. Test the sender. With Meta, your templates sync into GuardenerAI straight away.

What it does not do

  • Marketing messages on WhatsApp use templates Meta has approved; Meta decides approval.
  • Template creation and approval tracking are available on the direct Meta connection only.
  • WhatsApp sends count toward your workspace’s monthly usage allowance.

Meta or Twilio: which should I pick?
Connect Meta directly if you want to create templates and track their approval in GuardenerAI, and to see read receipts. Twilio works if your WhatsApp number already lives there.
Can I message anyone on WhatsApp?
Only people with WhatsApp consent in GuardenerAI, using a template Meta has approved for marketing.
What happens when someone replies STOP?
With a Meta connection, a STOP reply is recorded and the person stops receiving WhatsApp marketing.
