What it does

  • Finds the server settings for you where it can, from a public directory of mail providers or by checking likely server names, and lets you enter them by hand otherwise.
  • Tests the connection before it is saved, so a typo fails at setup rather than on your first send.
  • Checks your sending domain’s SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and shows what to add if something is missing.
  • Sends one-to-one email from a record and files matching incoming mail on the person, company or lead.
  • Connections can belong to one person or to the whole organization as a shared mailbox.

How to connect it

  1. Open Settings, Mailboxes and enter the address you want to connect.
  2. Confirm the server settings GuardenerAI found, or type them in from your provider’s help page.
  3. Enter the mailbox password, or an app password if your provider requires one, and test the connection.
  4. Fix anything the deliverability check flags in your domain’s DNS, then start sending from your records.

What it does not do

  • Encryption is required: GuardenerAI will not connect to a mail server without TLS.
  • Incoming mail that matches no record is discarded, not stored.
  • There is no open or click tracking on one-to-one email.

Which providers work?
Any provider that offers IMAP for incoming mail and SMTP for sending, with encryption. Gmail and Microsoft 365 connect with sign-in instead.
What is the deliverability check?
GuardenerAI looks up your sending domain’s SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and tells you what is missing, so your email is less likely to land in spam.
Can a shared inbox like sales@ be connected?
Yes, if your admin allows shared mailboxes. A shared connection belongs to the organization rather than one person.
